SUNDAYS ARE "CATS ONLY" DAY!

Starting September 2008,  Lora will be opening the salon on Sundays for a "cats only" day! No dogs will be allowed, which will greatly reduce the stress level for the comfort of your cat. Of course, if Sundays don't work with your schedule, cats are still welcome throughout the week, along with dogs. Sunday scheduling will be by appointment only.

And, as a side note, Lora is also experience in trimming birds nails and wings. Call for more information and/or an appointment!

In addition to the already terrific grooming experience, your pet now has more spa options for you to choose from! Our add-on treatments include foot massage, facials, teeth brushing with breath freshener and medicated anti-itch skin treatments. Aromatherapy baths are also available!

 As part of your grooming experience, we feature Hydro Surge® - the best in pet bathing systems, where your pet will enjoy a spa-like shampooing that will relax and refresh. Those pets that suffer from irritating skin conditions or stiff and sore joints will benefit, as the massaging action and cleansing products are able to get through the coat directly to the skin.

On the first Monday of every month, we host Canine Care, a company that specializes in anesthesia-free teeth cleaning. While this does not replace veterinary check-ups, their cleaning procedures are great for dental maintenance. Just as for humans, good dental hygiene aids in the over-all health of your pet. Victoria and Kim, our technicians, will do a thorough cleaning and polishing of your pets teeth, and will let you know of any problems needing a veterinarian's attention.

To assist us in keeping a clean environment, we use Clipper-Vac® - a unique, O.S.H.A. recommended system that significantly improves air quality in the grooming environment. As the hair is being cut, fur, dander, fleas, and any other undesirable elements are vacuumed away.

Our retail area features Silverfoot and Lupine brands collars and leashes along with a wide range of grooming products. If you have any questions regarding at-home grooming, please ask! We are happy to assist all efforts to maintain your pets coat in between groomings!

We make every effort to keep our salon a safe and comfortable environment. Pets are monitored at all times, never being left alone. Our dryers are equipped with thermostats, the shop is equipped with air-conditioning and heating, and when your pet is finished, they are offered water and a snack while relaxing on cushioned padding (although the offer is frequently declined). We let you know immediately when they are ready for pick up!

Here at Preferred by Pets, we do not skimp on quality! All products we use are gentle, natural, as well as some being organic...but sometimes a little something else is needed in the battle against fleas, in which case we offer Advantage or Frontline Plus- but only at your request!
